This Weeks Preview – 9/1/19

We are one week away from kicking off the Intramural Open season! Make sure to watch social media for updates this week! We will be choosing team captains this week and the draft will kick off the recruiting for teams on Saturday. This Weeks Preview – 8/25/19

Programming

Monday: 9am class only today for Labor day. Today we will push through a very difficult hero WOD to honor Will Lindsay. This workout was created by CrossFit Games athlete Josh Bridges.

  • “Will Lindsay”
  • 10 Rounds for time
  • 3 Devils press
  • 22 alternating lunges
  • 19 air squats
  • 55/35 lb DBs
  • Wear a 20/14# vest

Tuesday: To help recover from our Labor day hero WOD today we will work through a longer AMRAP of calories on the bike, sit ups and strict pull ups.

Wednesday: Mid week we get after a long chipper because why not?! This one gets all of our “cardio” into one workout: rowing, running, double unders and weighted step ups.

Thursday: If you dont need a rest day yet this week then come in for some power snatches, box jumps and a little more running.

Friday: We will close out the week by working up to a heavy clean (squat or power). In addition to lifting a heavy barbell we will close out the last few minutes of class with… “Grace’!

Saturday: Today’s partner WOD might look familiar from last week but we are doing it again with a twist. In teams of 3 you will work up to a heavy 3 rep bench. Then we will finish with an amrap of rounds of Cindy and calories on the bike.

Sunday: Endurance WOD for the week will be a 16 min EMOM rotating through 4 stations which involve some sumo deadlift high pull, double unders, Russian KB swings and jumping squats.
