Let’s jump right into it! Check out what’s to come this week and make sure to get into the box to work on any weaknesses!
Monday we are focusing on deadlifts in both our strength and conditioning components for the day. We will spend the first part of class building up to a heavy set of 3 and finish class with a 3 round couplet of deadlifts and box jumps.
Tuesday we have a throwback to the 2016 open with 16.1. This was the first open workout ever that included Lunges, and it wasn’t a short one. A 20 minute AMRAP with overhead barbell lunge, bar facing Burpees and chest to bar pull-ups. Check your old scores and aim to beat them!
Wednesday is another two parter. We start the class with a quick paced couplet of heavy clean and jerks and muscle ups. With the remaining time in class you will be working to find a heavy power clean + push jerk.
Thursday will be a conditioning workout utilizing the medicine ball combined with the bike or rower and toes to bar.
Friday we go unloaded with a high volume body weight workout with strict pull-ups, push ups and bodyweight lunges.
Saturday is a good open prep style workout with overhead squats and double unders. You and your partner will be taking turns fighting through increasing weight and decreasing reps of OHS, and filling the gaps with plenty of time to practice those double unders.
